On a bus ride...

Into the window screen I stared, unconsciously picking up a pair of eyes among the many in the bus's window screen. She was staring aimlessly into the window. Her fair skin attracts even without make-up. Perhaps all her face lack is some natural radiance. Her eyes are beautiful big yet regretfully sad. Occasionally she drop her glare onto the bus's floor before returning to the window screen. There a certain sense of detectment. Are they rooting from her headphones? Maybe she really isn't listening to anything at all... Perhaps all she wanted was a mask to convinently shield her away from her world. She made me wonder the whole bus trip. Is that a pair of longing eyes waiting to be filled in, or a living testimony that no one can have it all?

Maybe attraction lays in her beauty, but happiness lays in their lack...

Hmm... I juz realised I forgot to post some nice pics of this fondue I had on vday. Just to ans all
the people who ask -with that naughty look in their eyes- who's my date for vday. The ans is my buddy who came back from aust for cny. Haha... Sorry, no hot date tales to tell. Haha... Just a great hanging out time with a fusy shopper. Wahaha... Ok, I know I am so going to get killed for this.

Give thanks

Just wanna give thanks for the many blessings God has pour onto me and my family over this festive season. It might be something that many take it for granted, but I think to be able to spend quality and joyous time with our own family is something really beautiful. This is indeed a wonderful and supportive family. It is only through interaction with people that I realised how much God has blessed me with such a whole family.

I know I am really unsure of Silicon Valley, but You affirm it for me. Like many other times, I do not fully understand why, but I am full faith that You let it happen for a reason. You have always placed me there for my own good.

It's CNY! A time of sudden increase in fats intake, sugar intake, and extended family lunch and dinner gatherings. No doubt I feel that these activities seem so what routine-ish, but I suppose they are in place for a reason. It is during this time of the year that those usually cold carparks of older estates are filled with nice cars. And the normally stationery lifts are kept busy. I guess the older folks are happiest at this time of the year when they finally see their numerous grandchildren and children fill their quiet homes. They say goodbye asking them to visit them more. Yes, the young ones would definitely want to, in fact that hearts might even melt at such a request, but ultimately how many can afford to do so? "It's the lifestyle, not us." the young ones quietly assured themselves.

I am glad to be able to visit you all year after year. I do like CNY gatherings for a record. =)
